Tone Keepers is a blues-rooted trio built on decades of musical experience, deep influences, and a shared passion for authentic, groove-driven music. Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Jay Snow, the band reflects a lifelong journey through blues and jazz. Jay began performing in clubs at just fifteen and quickly developed his voice under the mentorship of Frank Chiaverini. His path as a traveling craftsman across the United States exposed him to a wide range of musicians and styles, and he has shared the stage with blues artists including Philip Walker, Joey Fender, Rockin’ Jake, and Tommy Pruit.
On bass, Calen Williamson brings a funky, dynamic foundation shaped by a musical upbringing in Northwest Montana and formal training under former Santana bassist Thomas Rutley. His diverse background and love of rhythm give the band its depth and pulse. Behind the kit, veteran drummer John Ague brings more than 50 years of experience across jazz, gospel, R&B, fusion, and blues, influenced by legends like Buddy Miles, Dennis Chambers, and Ginger Baker. Together, Tone Keepers deliver a tight, soulful, and expressive blues experience rooted in tradition and alive with energy.
