Soul Habit is a Grand Junction based Funk-Rock-Jazz dance and party band that draws on the sounds and inspiration of American R & B bands like Tower of Power, James Brown, Lettuce, and Tommy Castro. These entertainers provide a polished and exciting musical experience.

The band is made up of Western Slope area professionals that have one thing in common – their passion for the music.  Since forming in 2004, the band has played regional clubs, festivals and special events, toured So Cal, and played corporate and private parties.

The band has evolved with different members and the efforts and contributions of many.   The name was changed along the way to reflect a redirection and reimaging of what the band could be.  Our roots are tied to the area and within everybody that has helped our cause along the way.

I started cooking BBQ about 13 years ago for friends and family.  Everyone kept asking why I didn’t open my own place.
Well now that I am getting closer to retirement age I wanted something to keep me busy, so I figured “What the heck, I’ll open a concession trailer. So here I am still working a regular job and getting ready to run a concession trailer on my days off. I love to share my love for BBQ with others. I cook the meats and my wife does the side dishes, we make a good team.
